Join us for TAMALES & MEZCAL Wednesday, June 16th at 5 pm hosted by the San Diego Chapter with our duo LA/OC members Maria Gomez-Laurens and Janet Burgess, along with our LDEI sister chapter in Mexico. In this delicious online cooking class guests will learn to make tamales with Traditional Oaxacan Cook Olga Cabrera and taste mezcal with Dame Araceli Ramos from Jose Cuervo. This is a one-of-a-kind event with some all-star experts in the culinary and beverage industries!!

**This event is open to the public so we encourage you to invite your friends as proceeds from the program will support women on both sides of the border - the Women of Oaxaca and the Kitchenistas of Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center. Tickets are $30 for General Class Admission, $60 for Class Admission & Ingredient Kit, and $80 for Class Admission, Ingredient Kit & Mezcal (SD only).

Note: A $15 shipping fee will be charged for ticket levels that include the ingredient kit. Unfortunately, the mezcal cannot be shipped outside of San Diego.

Who else is ready to say good-bye to 2020 and welcome 2021 with open arms? Join Chef Shachi Mehra for a Virtual Cooking Class via Zoom on Tuesday, December 8th at 5 p.m. as she demonstrates two starters that are great to begin any meal or holiday gathering — Beet Scallion Tikkis and Green Masala Shrimp. Those interested in creating both dishes at home alongside Chef Shachi or after the class need to pre-order a Cooking Class Kit that includes ingredients and recipes.*

This event is open to the Public as we close out the year. There is no charge to attend but you still need to register and checkout with a $0.00 balance so we can send you the Zoom link.

*Planning to Cook along or cook in these dishes later? Chef Shachi's Cooking kit is $40 (makes 2 servings of each dish). The Cooking Class Kits must be pre-ordered for pick-up at ADYA Anaheim or ADYA Irvine Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6 during normal business hours. Special arrangements to pick up cooking kits from the Artisan Pop-Up at OC Baking Company in Orange on Friday, December 4th, or at Orange Home Grown Farmers Market on Saturday, December 5th may be made in advance.

Join us Sunday, November 15th for our Virtual Annual Member Meeting and New Member Induction from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. This event is for active members only and there is no charge to attend. We will start with a Virtual Champagne Reception, followed by our annual board reports, then a Q & A about chapter business and the year ahead. We will then induct our newest member Tina Voso, Partner/Owner Champagnes Bistro & Deli. We will also introduce two new Dames who are transferring their membership to the LA/OC Chapter - Jamie Danio Knee, Wine Specialist from the South Florida Chapter and Katherine Tallmadge, Personalized Nutrition & Lifestyle Strategies from the Washington D.C. Chapter.

Next, Dame Sandra Harvey, owner of Sandra Harvey Chef Coats will give us a fashion show "Wear Something the Men Can't!" showcasing her fabulous Chef Coats that are custom designed and fitted for a woman's body!

We will then introduce our Dame's Marketplace - a new website link showcasing our member's Cookbooks, Food Styling Books, Homemade Toffees, award-winning Chocolates, and much more that you will enjoy perusing to start your holiday shopping! We will close our event with a Champagne toast to YOU along with our raffle drawings for some fabulous prizes! There is no charge to attend, however there is a chapter donation of $25 if you'd like to be entered in the Raffle Drawing...prizes valued from $50-$300!
